"They can hold a conversation that does not involve pussy jokes" -- well, except maybe for the current inhabitant of the White House...
About the recently divorced: yeah, been there, done that (once). It actually was a rewarding relationship while it lasted. He had the good sense to end it; I went to his wedding. In hindsight, I understand why it was a doomed relationship.
I don't know about this 70 thing. I have found that if someone is a good person when they are younger they remain that way throughout their life. If someone is a jerk that doesn't change too much either. Now I only have my own husband and father for examples (them both being good guys always), but when my parents lived in their retirement community in boca like every Jewish grandparent in the US, most of the other men were absolute jerks. Honestly, it was like middle school.
I am happy if you find that men change as they age and life gives them lessons. So far for those I know not the reality.
Nice to hear from you, April. By the way, I’m 70…
Good to know!
What a hilarious post! I should feel flattered as I approach 70. Lots of truth in this post, or so I've been told.
I had no idea that so many of my readers were in this excellent demographic!
