I've loved spiders of all kinds since I was a kid. It may be "Charlotte's Web" that got me started. Everything I know I learned from books.

How big are they?
5 inches to very big like ten but usually 5-6 inches in diameter for the ones people have.
The fur is such a magnified view. The spiders I see are tiny and spindly. I guess there are different kinds.
Daddy long legs freaked me out when I was a kid (but not snakes), & I still don't like them. I'm glad I haven't seen one in decades.
But I'm sure you wouldn't hurt them. I've heard of people torturing them to death.
Well, if they were in the house I grew up in, I'd have someone else step on them, because I wouldn't go near them.
