Greetings all!
I just got home from an amazing event: I heard a young woman who escaped the Nova Music Festival speak at Penn. It was hosted by the Penn Chabad and other Jewish organizations. I met lots of wonderful people, and the speaker was truly awesome, in the real sense of the word: awe inspiring.
When asked how she could be so composed after all she had been through, she said, “I’m Israeli!” That got the biggest round of applause in a night of tears and cheers.
For those of you just joining us, here are the three articles I have written since October 7 on the topic of antisemitism and Israel:
I Stand With My Jewish Friends
Support Peaceful Free Expression - Stand Up to the Angry Mob
Much of this blog is also about my journey, all of my life but mostly since October 7. There are some cliffhangers. Will I convert? Will I get to go to Israel and if so when? Will I ever take the Hanukkah lights off my ficus tree (they are LED, probably not.)
Thank you for joining us, our worldwide family, mostly Jewish these days. Thank you to those of you who aren’t Jewish for hanging in… I promise more Star Wars and Billy Joel soon.
“The Empire wins by making us think we’re alone. We’re not alone.” - Poe in The Rise of Skywalker.
We are not alone. As I told the Israeli woman who spoke, “No matter what you hear, many of us are praying for you and all of Israel, night and day.”

Thank you. I told the wonderful young woman that so many of us are praying for her and Israel. She seemed to really appreciate all the support from everyone there.
April, I share your thoughts and prayers.
