Someone loves themselves a bit more because you gave them a compliment
Never think you have no influence whatsoever
An old friend of mine from high school posted this on Facebook.
I wasn’t planning to write tonight, as I get ready to go back into work, but this really caught my attention.
There are many things I’m not good at, calculus being among them, but I am very good at showing appreciation for others. So this made me happy.
After what I hope will be a good night’s sleep, I’ll have yet another chance to make kids feel important, smart, seen and heard (if sometimes too loudly!)
And another chance to give support to some people who are really trying, against what seems to be almost impossible odds, to change the world in our little corner of it.
For now, it’s enough.

Every once in a while NPR has a short story about someone whose life was changed by a chance encounter w/ an 'unsung hero.'
By law of reciprocity, your complement will be returned.
