It was near the beginning of the war when I told my friend Ari that my dad was praying for him and his daughter, who was in a combat unit in the IDF. My dad could really identify with another father whose daughter was in danger. I said, "We take prayer very seriously," and Ari said, "So do we." Oh, yeah. His daughter is out of the military now and in school. Still praying.
My Mom once told me about the time I 'disappeared,' (I was 5 yrs old), they searched the neighborhood & were about to call the police... when they found me upstairs in my bed, asleep...
