In the time following October 7, my friends’ kids in college and high school, including our alma mater Yale, faced harassment, discrimination, and all sorts of absurd behaviors that made it impossible for them to enjoy and learn from the college experience they deserve, worked hard for, and their parents (plus their own work and loans) paid for!

Meanwhile, I’m teaching SAT prep, and I love it. It’s a long day with an hour drive each way and seven hours of teaching with a half hour break, but the kids are amazing. I did it last year and I counted the days until I got to work with these kids and the awesome owner of the company and staff. I stand behind these young people all the way. Their work ethic, determination, and positive outlook on life are something our country would do well to imitate and learn from.
Off to my cat shelter shift… busy times these days, but much to write about!
