I think it's 'funny' that they think you're English. Sad that they've never heard a British (or So. African or Australian or New Zealand or Irish...) accent.
In my opinion it is Netanyahu and the far-right Zionist crazies who have put Jews in danger again. Their complete lack of restraint, bloodthirsty glee in killing, dehumanization of all Palestinians down to newborns—to unborns—and determination to take all their land have unleashed and, in the eyes of many non-Jews, JUSTIFIED the antisemitism that was always lurking in wait, but that was somewhat restrained by guilt and empathy, exiled from polite company in the shadow of the Holocaust. But now Israel has forfeited the protective victim card (hard as they still try to play it; it's in cringingly bad taste). One can feel neither guilt or empathy toward Netanyahu and his henchmen, so now all bets are off.
Criticizing Israel is done badly, also in my opinion, by most people who do it. Criticizing the forces that have taken control of Israel should be done in the spirit of trying to excise a lethal tumor from the body of Judaism. That is now the main threat to the Jews. Didn't realize it was "Netanyahu and the far-right Zionist crazies" who slaughtered all those Jews on October 7th. Jews who blame other Jews for "justifying" Jew hatred are a far larger problem than Netanyahu and the far-right Zionist crazies.
The obnoxious and annoying person who "debated" Douglas Murray on the tucker carlson show is a self-identifying Jew named Dave Smith. They say he is a comedian; he isn't funny.
