Democrat strategists want to understand why Kamala Harris lost? Some simple reality as to why a significant number of long time Democrats turned away from their party and the party of their parents and grandparents? This:

I really don't think Trump cares about anyone but himself (and look at what he's trying to do the environment -- plastic, water, incandescent light bulbs...). There are those with better perspectives/information than mine who think his stance may actually endanger the hostages and the whole situation in the Middle East.
I can’t read his mind but I can read what he says and watch what he does. I have no comment on environmental issues. It seems pretty clear to me that appeasement of terrorists has not worked. I hope and pray for the safe return and f as many hostages are still alive.
I greatly dislike his “drill baby drill “ attitudes as well! But incandescent light bulbs are much better for our hormones and bodies than led and it was a health danger and a travesty against our rights that anyone ever considered banning them.
As much as I dislike some things about trump, I am beyond grateful for the way he has taken a very clear stand on some issues- protection of the bodies and minds of children caught up in the trans mental illness craze, protection of women’s most basic right to not have males in our spaces sports and prisons (no matter how much “Like a woman” they feel inside). Protection of parents rights to make medical decisions for their children, the removal of violent criminals and terrorist supporters from America and of course, standing unequivocally with Israel. As much as I disliked him before…I can’t help but be grateful he’s at least done these things.

I'd be very surprised if Trump cared about anyone other than himself.
He has an evangelical base that's pro-Israel. He's playing to them.
